Co. Ag Preserve Hearing Monday
The Lancaster County Agricul
tural Preserve Board is sponsoring
a Public Hearing on the designa
tion of an Agricultural Preserve in
Drumore Township. The Hearing,
scheduled for Monday, August 24,
at 7:30 p.m. at the Drumore
Elementary School, Osceola
Drive, Drumore, Pennsylvania,
follows the informal information
meeting held in July.
The 8,900 acre proposed Agri
cultural Preserve would make
landowners eligible to voluntarily

Conservation District Seeks Award Nominees

local water quality and the Chesa
peake Bay through exemplary
farm practices. The Lebanon
County Conservation District is
accepting applications from indi
viduals wishing to nominate a can
didate for the award. A county
winner will be selected and sub
sell a conservation easement to the
Agricultural Preserve Board and
establish protective right-to-farm
policies.
The purpose of the Public Hear
ing will be to inform landowners
and receive comments about the
effects of the Agricultural Preserve
and the voluntary conservation
easement program.
