is chairperson of that committee.
The next meeting will be held at
Opel Ruhl’s home in Landisville
on September 12 at 1:30 p.m. A
representative of WGAL TV will
be in charge of the program.

Members of Society 20 enjoyed
a picnic at Huffnagcl Park on
August 6. Guests and 38 members
attended.
After the meal, Terry Winter,
Chief of the Quarryville Fire Com
pany, gave a talk on dealing with
fires in the home.
President Mary Shirk made a
presentation of a pin to Freda
Gross which is done when a mem
ber reaches age 80-years of age.
Tom and Jane Ferguson were
given a chest of money for their
40th wedding aniversary.
The September meeting will be
held at the home of Lillian Win
ters; Mary Shirk will serve as co
hostess.

14 family members attended the
picnic and swim party.
