pH (average of 11 measurements
from day 1 to day 30)
While both silages showed very similar changes in total pH change; the
SILO-BOOSTER treated silage contained more lactic acid. The homofer
mentive production of lactic acid by SILO-BOOSTER cultures reduces the
potential for dry matter losses and the generation of excessive heat of
fermentation.

Statistics conducted on weekly totals.
SILO-BOOSTER treated silage was able to generate income per ton of forage
feed. With milk valued at $ .125 per pound; butterfat at $ .17 per point; forage
at $ .045 per pound of dry matter, and the concentrate portions at $ .08 per
pound; SILO-BOOSTER silage returned $4.90 for each $l.OO invested in
inoculant.
APPLICATION: 1 Lb. of SILO-BOOSTER per ton of Forage.
2 Lbs. of SILO-BOOSTER per ton of High
Moisture Ear Corn.

Why should you use Master Mix SILO-BOOSTER
instead of another product? SILO-BOOSTER has been
proven in 20 years of on-farm use, as well as in continuous
university research. With each new discovery in silage
science, we have improved the original formula. Today’s
SILO-BOOSTER gives the most effective silage innoculant
yet developed.
Laboratory analysis of both treated and untreated silages confirms the increased
production of lactic acid by the bacterial cultures in SILO-BOOSTER.
