A fine line-up of cattle reflect ing both type and production in their pedigrees kept the large crowd bidding right up to the last animal. Thirty-one animals sold for an average of $1396, which is the same as last year’s sale average. A deep pedigreed Arlinda Jet Stream Daughter commanded the top bid of the night. Having just completed her two-year-old record, she produced in 301 days, 23,103 pounds of milk and 752 of fat. Her dam is scored 87 as a four year old and her three-year-old record is 24,170 of milk and 942 of fat. Hergranddam is scored Excel lent 92 with a top record of 29,717 of milk and 1289 of fat. This Jet Stream Daughter sold bred to Lek kcr Valiant Royalty. She was con signed by Ray Kling of Loysville. Twenty-one hundred dollars bought her for Willard Jr. and Bet sy Yoder of Huntingdon. Russell Wyle, president of the Bedford Holstein Club bought the second high selling cow for $2050. She sold bred to Harla Valiant Jes ter Valid. Paul and Sharon Fox of Rockwood, Pa., consigned this fine animal. Doug and Debra Hiillegass of Berlin consigned the third high cow. She is a daughter of Hilltop per Elevation Warden. Her dam is scored excellent 90 with a top record of 26,990 of milk, 4.1 per cent test and 1118 of fat. This heif er was sold fresh at sale time to Mark and Mary Ellen Hostetler of Belleville, Pa., for $1,850. Her heifer calf sired by the popular Whittier-Farms Ned Boy was bought by Kirk Hillegass for $575. Jim and Daniel Ellis of New Enterprise, Pa., bought the fourth high animal for $1,825. She is a three-year-old daughter of King way Elevation Very and is scored very good 85. As a two year old, she produced 18,764 of milk and 725 of fat. This stylish heifer was consigned by Roy and Wayne Umbel of Friendsville, Md. A daughter of Rockalli Son of Bova was the fifth high animal.
