The National Junior Angus Association held its
annual meeting In conjunction with the 19th National
Junior Angus Show, July 7-11 in Indianapolis, Indiana,
and elected six new members to the 12 members
National Junior Angus Board of Directors. The direc
tors are seated from left: Christy Dameron, Lexington,
Illinois; Christine Simmons, Willlamston, Michigan,
newly elected director; Kelli Meged, Roundup, Monta
na, newly elected director; Cheryl Hutchins, West
Mansfield, Ohio, newly elected director; Kay Dee Gat
lin, Burlington, Washington, newly elected director;
and Kelli Crossland, ElDorado, Arkansas, communi
cations director. Directors standing from left are:
Chad Cash, Centre Hall, Pennsylvania, chairman; Kurt
Olson, Grand Mound, lowa, vice chairman; Russell

the Illinois Juniors were third and
won $5O; and placing fourth and
winning $25 was the Indiana
Junior Angus Association.

the best display by a state Junior

16-head and over went to the Mis
souri Junior Angus Association.
The Kansas Juniors placed second
and received $75. There was a tie
for third between the Michigan
Junior Angus Association and Vir
ginia Junior Angus Association.
Both groups were awarded $5O
each
The Georgia Junior Angus
Association won $75 for having
the best display in the 15-head and
under category. Winning second
place honors along with $5O was
the California Juniors and the
South Carolina Junior Angus
Association finished third and took
home $25.
