COLUMBUS, Ohio The 119th Annual Meeting of The American Jersey Cattle Club, held June 26 in Eau Claire, Wis., saw remarkable optimism from Jersey breeders nationwide. President David W. Spahr, Findlay, Ohio, who was elected to his second one-year term, spoke to the assemblage from 38 states and ' three foreign countries of the excit ing times facing Jersey breeders. “Down on the farm, Jersey bulk tanks are overflowing, (milk mark eting) organizations are scram bling to buy Jersey milk, cattle sales are good and we now have a lively export market,” he said. “We have worked hard to get where we are today,” he continued, “but we will have to work harder in the future. Our formula to expand the number of Jersey cows in the United States means more of the same; increase production and work to get a better price for our milk.” Cowtown Rodeo Here are the results of the Cow town Rodeo for July 4: BAREBACK 1.
