ACRES SOYBEAN UPDATE: Soy
beans settled mixed to mostly lower m slow
indecisive trading as participants looked for
clearer direction on the weather. Some
commercial buy mg, linked to Taiwan’s ten
ders lent support thr oughoutthe session
Light farmer selling continues which has
been supportive to the old crop months The
July option closed up 1-1/2 cents while Sep
tember, November and January closed
down from 2 to 2-1/2 cents
ACRES CORN UPDATE: Corn
futures closed lower on a selling spree late
m the session Mixed weather ideas failed
to support deferred months on the close,
coupled with overnight rams. Strength in
the July option came from a brighter near
term export outlook, although gams were
limited by liquidation in front of last trading
day Further support to the old crop months
was provided by light farmer selling
Generic Cemficate premiums today are
steady at 106-3/4% to 107-1/2%.
