Price Voted Outstanding Senior In PSU’s College Of Agriculture
UNIVERSITY PARK -
Deborah Ann Price, a sailor
majoring in dairy production and
rainoring in extension education,
has been voted the 1967 Out
standing Senior in the College of
Agriculture at Penn State. Price
will be honored at the College of
Agriculture commencement
ceremonies in Eisenhower
Auditorium, May 16.
Selection for the award, which is
sponsored by the College of
Agriculture Alumni Society, was
made by the honor students in the
Coaly Society. The Society
recognizes students with high
academic standing who par
ticipate in college activities.
“ We chose Deb for her excellent
academic record and for all her
contributions to club activities,”
says Julie Baker, president of the
Coaly Society.
On the Dean’s list since fall of
1984, Price will graduate from

Penn State with distinction. She
was initiated into Gamma Sigma
Delta national honor society for
agriculture this spring and is a
member of the Golden Key
national honor society.
Price is president of Ag Student
Council and was recently named
the 1967 Outstanding Senior in
Dairy Production and Outstanding
Senior by the Northeastern Dairy
and Animal Science Societies. She
was the 1985 Penn State Dairy
Princess, and is a member of the
Coaly Society, Collegiate FFA and
4-H and the Pre-Vet Club.
Last summer she was an intern
with the Berks County Cooperative
Extension Service and won an Ag
Alumni Award for her report of
internship activities. She also was
an assistant for the Pennsylvania
Governor’s School for Agriculture,
a five-week program for
academically talented high school
students interested in food,
