A4-Lancaster Faming, Saturday, March 28,1987 Delmarva Poultry Thursday, Mar. 26,1987 Market Comment: Demand for ready to cook whole birds was moderate to good and generally sufficient to keep offerings in good overall balance. Inquiry for parts was mixed and selective. Dark meat items, particularly leg quarters, cleared with ease at steadier prices. Wings remained fully adequate and slow to clear in several quarters. Cutlets and breasts were at least adequate, and the bulk of trading was oc curring at lower prices. Less than trucklot asking prices were generally firm at 45-52 cents. Live supplies were moderate to light at varied weights. The undertone was at least steady. . Estimated slaughter of broiler fryers in Delmarva: Estimated 3/26 1,959,000; Actual 3/192,035,000. Actual 3/24 2,050,000. Average Weights 3/24 4.55, 3/17 4.56. Copyright 1957 by Lancaster Farming P.O. Box 366 - Utitz, PA 17543 Office; 22 E.
