RACINE, Wise. - With the
application of Steiger Tractor Inc.,
Fargo, North Dakota, Case IH has
significantly expanded its line of
high-horsepower, four-wheel-drive
agricultural tractors. Steiger,
known for its premier line of large
tractors, brings five models to the
Case IHline.
Case IH dealers will receive
Steiger tractors painted red with
new model numbers and the Case
IH logo. Steiger dealers not holding
Case IH contracts will continue to
receive the tractors bearing the
Steiger logo, model name and
green color.
The Steiger line is being
upgraded with several new
features and options including;
• PTO available as an option on
all models;
• a new cab with gray interior
and standardized features;
• increased level of in
strumentation for operator con
venience.
The addition of the five Steiger
models to the current Case IH line
gives Case IH a variety of both
rigid-frame and articulated
tractors to fit any farming ap
plication.

Case Adds 5 Steiger Models To Tractor Line
9110 tractor, with 190 engine
horsepower and optional steerable
front axle, brings high power to
farming operations with its new
Case IH 8.3-liter, 505-cubic-inch
engine. Yet the articulated frame
allows the operator to handle tight
turns at the end of rows.
The 9110 features a steerable
front axle option that allows a
turning radius of 12.5 feet and a
standard turning radius of 14.5
feet.
Case IH Model 4494 Tractor
With a 213 engine horsepower
turbocharged engine, the Case IH
Model 4494 tractor offers many of
the features found in the largest
four-wheel-drive .tractors, yet in a
smaller package.
Case EH Model 9310 Tractor
(Steiger Wildcat 1000)
This addition to the Case IH line
brings another option to the four
wheel-drive series. An optional
steerable front axle allows the
operator to make steering
corrections during delicate
planting and cultivating operations
and provides the tightest turning
radius of any four-wheel-drive
tractor in this engine horsepower
category. It also features a 220
engine horsepower Case IH 8.3-
liter 505-cubic-inch diesel engine
and variable tread settings with a

single reduction inboard planetary

Case IH Model 4694 Tractor
With a 261 engine horsepower
turbocharged diesel, the Case IH
Model 4694 tractor provides
operator efficiency and power in
the mid-sized four-wheel-drive
range. A wide variety of optional
wheels and tires allow farmers to
meet the' requirements of any job
application.
Case EH Model 9150 Tractor
(Steiger Cougar 1000)
The 280 engine horsepower 9150
is designed for years of rugged
performance. A. full array of
halogen lights allows excellent
visibility during night operations.
Other features include an op
tional 11,500 pound capacity three
point hitch that can be elec
tronically set to return to the
position of choice, and a 170-gallon
fuel tank to keep the operator in
the field longer.
