E44ineisttr Farming, Saturday, February 28,1987 Rabies Clinics Scheduled HARRISBURG - The state Department of Agriculture reminds Pennsylvanians that the Commonwealth’s rabies vaccination law is in effect, including penalty provisions that provide for fines of up to $3OO. The law, which took effect Feb. 13, requires vaccination of all dogs and house cats over three months of age. Inoculations must be given or supervised by a licensed veterinarian. Violators face maximum fines of $3OO for each day the law is violated. lx)w-cost vaccination clinics are being held statewide by private organizations and veterinarians. Dogs should be on a leash and cats in a carrier when taken to clinics. Clinics of which the Department is aware include: March 1; Taylor, Lackawanna County, at the Hose Co. No. 2 fire house, 1 to 5 p.m., $4 fee. March 1; Dickson City, Lackawanna County, at 231 Main Street, 2 to 4 p.m., $5 fee. March 1: Old Forge, Lackawanna County, at the fire hall, noon to 3 p.m, $5 fee. March 1; West Sunbury, Butler County, at the fire hall, 2 to 5 p.m., $5 fee.
