Sometimes I amaze myself when
I think about how much I have
accomplished in one day. I’ve just
finished writing my diary for
yesterday. Yet, in the back of my
mind is the thought that I must
start braiding my rug or I’ll never
get it finished before spring.
This is what I wrote for
yesterday “After feeding the
cats and sweeping the porches and
walks, I washed the car. Then I
baked a big pan of an apple dessert
for the Bible Study Group that
were coming in the afternoon.”
“I was interrupted by a knock at
the door (people don’t seem to see
the doorbell) and a young woman
asked me to show her a summer
cottage that I have for sale. The

real surprise was when I went to
unlock the cottage door and found
it had been broken into as a large
pane of glass was shattered. It is
not furnished and so I don’t think
anything was stolen. However, it
did take time to clean up the mess
and tack a temporary plastic over
the broken pane.

the driveway as we had gotten
seven ton of coal the evening
before and the coal would be

was time to peel potatoes and put
