Speakers will address technological advances in the dairy industry and the impact on the individual dairyman’s operation. Additionally, dairymen can examine the products of commercial exhibitors from across the country. Special tours are planned for March 11 to the Maplebound Farms; Marlboro Mushrooms; Nelson Stoltzfus Farm; New Bolton Center; Oregon Dairy; New Holland Farm Museum; Way Lane Farm and Zimhaven Farm. Tours to the Fairmount Park and Flower Show on Tuesday or Brandywine Valley on Thursday are available for the ladies at tending the convention. The convention concludes Thursday, March 12, with the traditional departure banquet. No matter how we solve the land ownership problem, the larger commercial farms will still be family operated. Simply because that has been proven to be the most effective system available from the production of food and fiber. Much of the farm, directly old time farming, is already gone.
