Nurserymen NEWARK, Del. - The annual meeting of the Delaware Association of Nurserymen has been set for Jan. 22 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Inn, Dover. After the morning registration period, association president Steve Wrede will open the meeting at 8:50 a.m. A business session will follow. At 9:45 a.m., Charles Hitzeman of the E. I. duPont Company will speak on more effective marketing. William Flemmer of Princeton Nurseries will discuss selecting trees for the Delaware landscape at 10:45 a.m. Two concurrent sessions will be offered after lunch. A retail workshop on signmaking will be conducted by Ellen Stroud from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. A production and landscape workshop will also be held featuring discussions by Sharon Ossenbruggen of the USDA Forest Service on tree com partmentalization and by Dr. Bonnie Appleton of Virginia Polytechnic Institute on a new field growth technique Susan Barton, extension hor ticulturist at the University of Delaware, will speak at 3:30 p.m. on new ideas from the west coast on signs, plant labeling and nur sery production.
