Market Comment: Buying ac
tivity was limited due in part to
holiday closings and reduced
operating schedules. However,
advanced interest was improved.
Offerings were usually sufficient to
handle current inquiry. LTL
asking prices remained unchanged
at 4048 cents. Live supplies were
fully adequate for the light and
curtailed slaughter schedules. The
undertone was steady.

Buying interest was fair although
most processing plants had some
seasonal down-time. Producer
offerings were adequate in most
instances, occasionally fully
adequate in others. Some heavy
type sold at 25 cents picked up at
the farm.

Comment: Trading was very
light. Offerings in total were much
reduced as plant cut-backs and
closures has lightened the supply.
Cutlets and breasts were adequate
at current price levels and some
additional product was still
available on these items. Leg
quarters have tightened up as
retail feature activity was ac
counted for large volumes being
booked, starting with Friday
deliveries. Legs were adequate but
