Consigned by Donald Hosking and Dr. Stanley Brunn of Otisville, N.Y., and Middletown, N.Y., Hosking-Brunn Mark Anita sold for $4,500 to Rodney Greist of Coatesville. Anita’s dam, Homestead-SS Bell Alice, classified VG-88. She ranks 75th on the Premier Performer List and owns a cow index of plus 1,785 milk, plus 68 fat and plus $2lB with a CTPI of plus 813. A Bell daughter, she produced a top record of 28,880 pounds of milk and 1,045 pounds of fat in 365 days. In her first lactation she produced 22,700 pounds of milk and 844 pounds of fat. Grace-Way Elevation Audrey, the next dam, classified VG-87 with Gold Medal Dam status. She produced three records over 21,000 pounds of milk with her best effort at 27,951 pounds of milk and 1,031 pounds of fat in 365 days. Presently, the Elevation daughter has 15 sons in studs world wide. The sale topper’s third dam produced a top record of 31,597 pounds of milk and 1,435 pounds of fat. She classified Very Good. Shultz Brothers of Bloomsburg consigned the lot which garnered the second highest bid of the sale. Shul-Bro Jet Stream Goldie sold for $3,000 to Allen Johnson of Hamptonville, N.C. Sired by ArUnda Jet Stream, this 5-year-old cow classified EX-90 with an Excellent mammary system. Goldie produced a top record of 22,932 pounds of milk, 955 pounds of fat for a 4.2 test and 786 pounds of protein. She is due Dec. 19 to Whittier Farms Ned Boy. Her siblings include an Excellent 24,000 pound sister, three Very Good sisters, and a VG-88 brother.
