The buyers included a group of LouisviUe-area banks. Randy Harrel, 20, of Leedey, Okla., sold his 1,240-pound Chianina/Angus steer to the Louisville Hotel/Restaurant Association for $6,000, $4OO more than last year’s reserve. Exhibiting the champion market lamb was Dani Duncan of Allen, Okla., who sold her lamb to Don Wheatley, Jr., of Wheatley Cattle Company, Louisville, for a final bid of $2,625, or $625 more than last year’s champion bid. A group of local businesses purchased Darin Howard’s reserve champion lamb for $1,450. Spring Grove Exhibitor Wins LOUISVILLE, Ky. - A Penn sylvania exhibitor topped the National Corriedale Show held in conjunction with the North American International Livestock Expo here on Nov. 18. Taking grand champion ewe honors in the 150-head show was Billie Andrews of Vesper Valley Farms, Spring Grove. Her ewe, named Ambrosia, was shown by veteran showman Philip Keister of Tenino, Washington. The show’s grand champion ram was owned by K&K Cornedales, Ashland, Ohio.
