with good demand this holiday
shortened week and closed steady
to 50 cents higher than last week.
Buyers were generally active as
the purchased cattle to supplement
direct buying. Best demand still
noted for cattle promising high
percentage choice 2-3 carcasses.
Slaughter Cows closed with a
good demand, posting advances of
1.00-2.00 over last weeks closing
levels. Slaughter bulls closed
steady.
Estimated 4 day receipts this
week 5100 compared to 5 day ac
tuals last week of 5721 and 4 day
actuals last year of 5632. Slaughter
Steers comprised 47 pet of the
