JEFFERSON - York 4-H dairy
club members harvested a yield of
trophies, plaques and recognition
last Saturday evening, wrapping
up the project year with
fellowship, awards presentations
and a family dinner at the Jef
ferson Fire Hall.
Special recognition was ex
tended to Susan Eisenhart, whose
work with her developing herd of
registered Jerseys earned her the
state 4-H dairy winner title. Sue
will attend the upcoming 4-H
National Club Congress in
Chicago, where she will compete
with other state winners for
national scholarship honors. She is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Rodney Eisenhart, Thomasville
Rl, and a senior at Spring Grove
Area High School.

York 4-H Dairy Members Harvest Awards
The county’s three regional
dairy clubs each named out
standing winners in three age and
experience categories. Named the
outstanding rookie, or beginner, **
member for the Central Dairy Club
was John Kiser Jr. Central Club’s
outstanding junior was Annie
Rauhauser and outstanding senior
is Sue Eisenhart.
Winners from the Milk and
Money Club were Tanya Barr,
rookie; Kelly Morris, outstanding
junior; and Tim Warner, senior
winner. Southwest Dairy Club
named Kelly Jo Myers for rookie
award recognition, with Rich
Bupp, outstanding junior and
Downa Doll, the outstanding
senior.

Harrisburg All-American 4-H
dairy judging.

program was a 4-H dairy puppet
show, presented by members of
the Southwest club, and a slide
show on Alaska, given by former
county agent John Smith, who led
the farm-oriented Alaskan tour in
July.
