instances but most expected last
minute surge in demand as con
sumers secure needs for
Thanksgiving. Breaker interest
irregular with many limiting
buying to immediate needs only.

volume buyers, consumer grades

Market Comment: The market
tone was weak. Offerings in
creased and were in excess of next
week’s three-day holiday reduced
processing schedules, and several
plants booking flocks through the
end of the year. Finished product
sales were picking up and traders
were confident of additional
demand as the effects of lower
costs for fowl meat helped
processors offer end product at
more attractive prices than the
past few weeks.

Delmarva Poultry
Thursday, Nov. 19,1986
Market Comment; Movement of
ready to cook whole birds con
tinued irregular, and offerings
were likewise. However, where
product was available, it was
usually slow in clearing and often
discounted. Demand for parts was
disappointing and prices on all
items were negotiable at varied
levels. Less than trucklot asking
prices were again unchanged at 55-
62 cents and some noted trucklots
as available at 52 cents. Live
supplies were moderate to light.
Weights were mixed in a full
range. Slaughter schedules were
very light. The undertone
remained barely steady to weak.
