weekend. The tour will feature four
farms and a cheese factory, which

Cheese Co. At the cheesemaking
plant, visitors can see many kinds
of cheese on display and buy their

Turn north on Route 772
(Newport Road) from Route 340 at
Intercourse and travel one mile to
Centerville Road. Follow Cen
terville Road for two and one-half
miles to the plant on the right.
• Buckeyland Stables, owned by
Andrea Cassidy and Jim Murry.
Here are 73 standard-bred horses
and a boarding and training stable.
From Route 23 in New Holland,
turn south on Brimmer Avenue,
which becomes New Holland Road.
Travel three miles to Lowry Road
and it’s the first farm on the left.

farm. The Eberly’s will show
visitors their operation that in
cludes 500 hogs, 200 beef heifers, 50
acres of com, 50 acres of soybeans

turn south on South Kinzer Avenue.
At the T-intersection, turn right to
the first farm on the left.

This dairy operation includes 70
milk cows and 85 head of young
cattle for herd replacements and
breeding stock.
Turn off Route 23 in New Holland
onto South Kinzer Avenue and
travel one mile to the first farm on
the right.
• Nix Besser Farm, owned by Dr.
and Mrs. Robert D. Herr. The
Herrs’ sheep farm features 40
breeding ewes and 25 fall lambs.
The Herr family exhibits sheep at
many major livestock shows.
From the traffic light in Blue
Ball, travel east on Route 322 three
miles and the farm is on the right.
