    Eastman Chemicals, Molecular Genetics Announce Cooperative Research
KINGSPORT, Tenn. and MIN
NETONKA, Minn. The Eastman
Chemicals Division of Eastman
Kodak Company and Molecular
Genetics, Inc., recently announced
that they have entered into a new
cooperative research arrangement
that will focus on products for the

projects that Eastman elects to

Molecular Genetics through 1990.
He said that the arrangement
should “enable the two companies
to develop unique products which
incorporate the latest advances in
immunology and endocrinology,
improve productivity, and are safe
and easy to use.”
Molecular Genetics will provide
genetic engineering technology to
the cooperative research effort.
Eastman will provide clinical
testing facilities at Valleybrook, its
recently completed animal health
and nutrition research center in
Kingsport.
Eastman will receive
manufacturing and marketing
rights to products resulting from
the cooperative research.
Molecular Genetics will have the
option to purchase a license to
share in the manufacturing and
marketing of these products.
“We are extremely pleased that
Eastman has chosen to expand its
relationship with us,” said
Franklin Pass, chairman and chief
executive officer of Molecular
