A4-LMCMter Farming, Saturday, Navambar 8,1986 Delmarva Poultry Thursday, Nov. 4,1986 Market Comment: Movement of ready to cook whole birds was slightly improved overall; however, still just fair at most points. Offerings ranged from cleared to readily available. Wings continued to clear to a brisk call and prices continued higher. Legs and leg quarter movement was better in spots but supplies were still available. Breast meat cleared to an irregular call; supplies were adequate to fully adequate with boneless, skinless in a better balance position. Less than truck-lot asking prices were generally unchanged at 56-62 cents and some sellers noted buyer resistance at these levels. Live supplies were at least moderate at mostly desirable to heavy weights. Slaughter schedules were very light a several plants trimmed operations to accommodate demand. The undertone was steady at best. Estimated slaughter of broiler fryers in Delmarva: Estimated 11/6 1,746,000; Actual Copyright INS by Lancastar Farming P.0.80x 344-Utitz, PA 17543 Office 22 E. Philadelphia Eggs Thursday, Nov. 4,1986 Report Supplied by USDA Market Comment: Prices trended one’ cent higher on mediums, balance unchanged. Trade sentiment was generally fully steady but becoming cautious in some quarters. Graded stocks were in good balance overall. Gradable offerings were light and firmly held. Nearby graders and breakers were a bit less aggressive than earlier in the week in their procurement, but most noted this as more price resistance than a real decline in interest.
