Market Comment: Trading
activity has slowed down on
graded loose packs and nest runs.
Only a few instances of fill in ac
tivity was noted on smalls and
extra large and jumbo. Floor
stocks were generally closely
balanced with current needs.
Cartoned orders for next week’s
deliveries were lighter - and no
more than fair in some instances
while holding up at good amounts
in others
Prices to retailers: sales to
volume buyers, consumer grades
white eggs in cartons delivered

Market Comment: Demand for
whole birds was generally no
better than fair. Offerings were
readily available for the limited
buyer interest. Interest for leg and
leg quarters has steadied these
items somewhat while competitive
prices were noted on other items.
Less than trucklot asking prices
continued to trend lower and
currently ranged 58-65 cents. Live
supplies are fully adequate with
weights ranging from desirable to
heavy. Slaughter schedules were
moderate. The undertone was
weak.
