Market Comment: Prices were
unchanged to one cent higher on
mediums, balance unchanged.
Trade sentiment mixed but mostly
steady to fully steady. Demand
continued moderate to good.
Supplies of large were adequate to
closely cleared. Extra large were
in good overall balance. Mediums
were unevenly distributed but
where available, cleared rather
easily. Jumbos were about
adequate and smalls were short.
Gradable receipts were usually
adequate. Breaker interest was
light to fair and cautious.
Prices to retailers: sales to
volume buyers, consumer grades
white eggs in cartons delivered
store door: A Extra Large 67-69; A
Large 65-67; A Medium 54-56.

for parts was brisk on breasts and
especially rib breasts, which were
short. Wings were barely adequate
for a good call. Dark meat items
cleared well, but supplies were a
bit more in line with inquiries. Less
than trucklot asking prices were
generally two cents higher at 61-69
cents. Live supplies were
moderate. Weights generally
heavy. Slaughter schedules were
heavy. The undertone remained
firm.
