50 head of milk cows. 25 head in full flow of
milk, balance milking as to their lactation. 85%
of milk cows are under 6 years old. Certified
and accredited for interstate shipment and
buyers. D.H.I.A. used for 15 years. We have
good well attached udders. Most of herd has
been on Genetic Mated Service by A.B.S. Free
stall, milking parlor, computer feeding is being
used. Following are 2 first calf heifer lac
tations.
321 days, 22,932 milk and 729 fat. 286 days
17,856 milk and 508 fat. Herd average -
lbs. milk and 571 lbs. of fat. Health charts for
out of state buyers. Catalogues available sale
day.
11 Bred heifers ■ bred in June and are good
size. 10 open heifers. 9 calf hutches with 4’x6’
yards.
Hound bales of alfalfa hay. Round bales of
grass hay.
Auctioneer Note- This is a well uddered
group of cows with good size. Mr. & Mrs.
Sollenberger are discontinuing the dairy
business.
