Hatfield Buys Fayette Co. Champs
Tom Moyer (left) of Hatfield Packing took home both the
champion and reserve hogs at the recent Fayette County 4-H
Livestock Auction. He’s pictured above with Joseph Diamond
and his grand champion. Moyer paid $3.10 a pound for the
206-pound hog, and $2.15 for Mary Jo Lehman’s reserve
champion.

Angus breeders swept the 98-head
Angus show at the 1986 Ohio State
Fair held in Columbus by
exhibiting every champion bull
and heifer. Judge of the event was
Mark Richardson, Milton, Ind.
Summitcrest Farms, Sum
mitville, had a good day showing,
as they exhibited the grand
champion bull, B R Monopoly and
the reserve grand champion bull,
HF Mainstream.
Monopoly was first named the
junior champion bull before
receiving the grand champion
banner. Owned by Beaver Ridge
Farm, Middletown, Ind., he is a
January 1985 son of Pine Drive Big
Sky.
Before being named the reserve
grand champion bull. Mainstream
was earlier awarded the senior
champion title. He is an April 1984,
QLC Winchester son and is co
owned by Huntingdon Farm,
Alexandria, Pa.
In the female show, judge
Richardson gave his final nod of
approval for grand champion to his
intermediate winner, K A F Miss
Lady Madonna. She is a May 1985
daughter of QLC Winchester and is
owned by Brent Billman,
Ostrander.
