    Adams County 4-H'ers Bam Championships At Annual Calf Round-up

ARENDTSVILLE - The Adams
County 4-H Calf Club held its 40th
Round-up, Saturday, Aug. 2, at the
South Mountain Fairgrounds in
conjunction with the Adams
County 4-H Fair.
Capturing the grand champion
Holstein title was a Senior 2-Year
old, PA Buttonwood Sexation
Steph, shown by Denton Guise,
York Springs. Her dam is a
Bootnick daughter that has made
over 20,000 pounds of milk. Pulled
m for the reserve slot was Weim-
Sharr Sir Chris Dana. She was the
winner of the Junior 2-Year-old
class and was shown by Jennifer
Weimer, New Oxford.
Weimer had a blue ribbon day,
gamering the reserve champion
The winning entry at the Annual Calf Dressing Contest
at the Adams County 4-H Round-up was “Computer Calf”
with the winner, from left, are: George Strock, county
treasurer; Stacy Harlow; Robert Klunk, County
Commissioner; John Broujos, state legislator; Judge Spicer,
Adams County Dairy Princess Jennifer Weimer and Jayne Hess.

petition, Joy Hess, Gettysburg,
showed the champion Brown
Swiss, a February calf by
Beautician King, Quiet Valley
King Kathi. Danny Yingling,
Gettysburg, showed the champion
Jersey, Frederick Farm Con
noisseur Dinah, a senior yearling.
In the fitting and showmanship
competition, Matthew Guise won
the mini showmanship class,
