Market Comment; Prices were
noticeably higher when compared
to two weeks ago. Demand was
good. Producer offerings were
light. Some heavy type fowl traded
at 21 cents delivered plant.
Competition from other poultry
classes was practically non
existent lately.
Prices Paid at Farm:
Light Type Hens: 11-12%, mostly
12-12%.

Market Comment: Cartoned
prices on the larger sizes were
unchanged to two cents lower.
Mediums held unchanged. Some
additional supply build ups have
developed in large, which were in
some surplus for current needs.
Mediums were fully adequate and
extra large and jumbo continued in
light supply. Demand was no
better than fair. The undertone on
large was barely steady to weak in
most instances.
