Allentown Fair Entries Being Accepted ALLENTOWN - Entries of exhibits and livestock for the 134th Allentown Fair are being accepted in Agricultural Hall now through Saturday, Aug. 9. Registration hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. everyday except Sundays. Friday, Aug. 8 the hours will be extended until 8 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 9, closing day, they will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The entry fee is $6 and includes Schuylkill County Fair Opens Aug . 13 SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - The Schuylkill County Fair will of ficially begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 13 and continue through Sunday, Aug. 17. Opening ceremonies will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday and will be followed by entertainment by the Cressona Band. The Fair is open daily 10 a.m. through 11 p.m. except Sunday, when the Fair will close at 6 p.m. Admission is free, but there is a $2 parking fee. Westmoreland Co, Fair Scheduled SCOTTDALE - The 1986 West moreland County Fair will get under way Saturday, August 17, running through Saturday, August 24, at the County Fairgrounds at Mutual. The fair will feature the annual competitive exhibits of open class, 4-H and FFA livestock, agricultural products, and home economics displays of food, needle craft, etc. The agricultural exhibit building will open on Monday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.; 4-H exhibit building will open on Monday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. These buildings will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Commercial exhibit buildings will open Monday at 5 p.m. and Tuesday through Saturday at 1 p.m., staying open until 10 p.m. A change in the judging timetable will allow more of the prime-time fair visitors to view the judging of some species of livestock. Admission to the Westmoreland County Fair is $2 for adults and 50 cents for children (6-12), and weekly passes are available for $6 and $2, respectively.
