A4-LmcasUr Farming, Saturday, August 2,1986 Delmarva Poultry Thursday, July 31,1986 Market Comment: Movement of ready to cook whole birds was moderate to good. Offerings were irregularly available but clearances were usually easier than earlier in the week. Demand for parts continued to increase add cutlets and breast meat cleared with ease. Leg quarters and legs were again well-cleared. Wings had improved and were in much better balance with demand. Less than trucklot asking prices were generally unchanged to one cent higher and seller premiums were getting back to normal in many instances. Live supplies were mostly moderate. Weights desirable to light. Slaughter schedules were moderate. The undertone was at least steady and was being stimulated in part by increased need for first of the month business and demand from the fast food industry. Copyright 1906 by Lancastsr Fanning P.O. ' Eastern PA and NJ Poultry Wednesday, July 30,1986 Report Supplied by USDA Market Comment; Trading too limited to report prices. Spent hen movement was extremely light and plants ran short or no schedules at all. Some light volume moved at 11 to 12 cents at farm. Bid prices were noted as a frivolous venture as sellers were intent on retaining hens for their heavyweight egg production. The undertone was firm.
