These sales were held in Colorado, Georgia and New York. The top prices at the sales ranged from $l,BOO to $1,200. Here is a brief look at the results of these sales. JERSEY The YANKEE SYNDICATE SALE, held in New York, averaged $538 on 44 head. The highest bid of the day was $1,200 on a H.L. Chocolate Director daughter. This 4-year-old cow classified at 88 points and has a high record of 13,330 pounds of milk and 680 pounds of fat on a M.E. basis. Her dam, classified at 89 points, has a top record of 14,410 pounds of milk and 732 pounds of fat. The YANKEE KETTLE SALE, held in conjunction with the Yankee Syndicate Sale, averaged $7OB on six bred heifers. Topping the sale at a price of $1,150 was a daughter of Yankee F.W. Panther. As a 2-year old, she produced a top record of 17,770 pounds of milk with a 4.3 percent test. Third high selling animal, with a price of $9,500, was a 3-year-old daughter of Lime Hollow Mars. She sold dry and is due in August with a Tri-Day Valiant Gold calf. Her dam is classified EX-95 and her granddam is classified EX-93. Jim Ellis and Gary Massey were the auctioneers and Dave Bach man read the pedigrees. The SOUTHERN IN VITATIONAL, held in Georgia, averaged $2,449 on 90 head. The sire is Walkway Chief Mark and the dam is Rilar Mars Lass Ravena, EX-91. She has a high record of 32,819 pounds of milk and 1,509 pounds of fat for a 4.6 test.
