Uncaster Seamstresses 'Pit For Fashion' LANCASTER - About 70 talented young seamstresses from Lancaster County modeled their 4- H sewing projects for family and judges during the county Fashion Revue July 15 at the Farm and Home Center. The theme for this year’s event was “Fit for Fashion.” The day began with a series of workshops, including: Judging, Staging and Modeling with Tammy Phillips, Stress Connection by Dixie Adams, Sewing with Sergers by Mrs. Janice Herman, and Be a Successful Clothing Consumer by home economist Paula Mayewski. Winners in the senior division of the competition were Melanie Shenk, Daphane Shenk, Danette Caffery, Alissa Hoober, Cindy Harnish, Lori Rutt, Tanya Rohrer, and Lisa Shenk. Alternate senior winners were Deb Shenk, Lori Brechville, Jody Martin and Denise Haldeman. Junior winners were Melissa Wenger, Lisa May, Monica Shenk, Dawn Ginder and Amy Fyock. Junior alternates were Denise Stauffer, Heather Ehrhart, Dina Smoker. Lara Kurtz, Melanie Winners Named in Lebanon fashion Rem LEBANON - Twelve Lebanon County 4-H’ers were selected to represent Lebanon County in regional fashion competition during Clothing and Textile Day held at the Zion United Methodist Church in lona. Judges were home economists Sandra Klingler and Dawn Gearhart. Senior division winners are; Lori Brandt, Beth Brandt, Jenny Zemba and Lisa Seibert of the Campbelltown 4-H Club; Jennifer Greenlee, Myerstown Raiders 4-H Club; Sylvia Royer and Dawn Hawryluk of the South Mountain Gub, and Sharon Wagner of Cedar Valley 4-H Club. Junior division winners are Allison Doll and Tara Weyand of the Mill Acres 4-H Club, Heather Wessel, Keri Fasnacht, and Jodi Phillips of the Campbelltown Club. Jennifer Sauerwein, Mill Acres, was first runner up and par ticipated in regional competition in place of Allison Doll. Second runnerup is Shurree Webber of South Mountain Club. Seven senior members from the region are chosen for state-level competition to be held at University Park. The Capital Region includes Lebanon and seven surrounding counties. Dawn Hawryluk received a gold outstanding performance ribbon for her senior home economics demonstration. Eric Funk received a blue ribbon for his archery demonstration. Junior demonstrators Jennifer and Michelle Ungemach also received blue ribbons. In the public speaking contest, Damian Shiner earned a blue ribbon. Foodarama judging contestants, Jennifer Greenlee, Jennifer Sauerwine and Tara Weyand, placed first, second and fifth respectively in their contest. As a team, they placed first. The Consumer Judging team also Lynda Lueck-Stoner. Winners were eligible to com pete in regional fashion revue, held at Cumberland Valley High School July 22. Members of the team were Michelle Donmoyer, Rodney Meyer, Rachael Bashore and Michelle Slaybaugh. Kris Lehn, Nicole Nye and Rob Kain com peted in the senior division of the contest. Regional Night is the regional step of 4-H competition in preparing youth for the State 4-H Achievement Days to be held at Penn State in early August.
