Whenever possible,
use a floor or table lamp
rather than ceiling
lights and install lights
above work benches or
sinks.
Downsize Bulbs
Replace present bulbs
with the next lower watt
size. You may find that
by replacing 100 and 75
watt bulbs with 75 and 60
watt ones, respectively,
sufficient light will still
, remain and energy use
will decrease.
Use Fluorescent Bulbs
A 25 watt fluorescent
bulb gives off as much
light as a 100 watt in
candescent bulb, but
costs one-fourth as
much to operate.
