were aggressive early in the week,
pushing live prices higher.
However, demand narrowed

cautious. As a result fed cattle lost
all of early week price advances.
Supply rather attractive
throughout the week with YG 4’s
only a minimum problem.
Slaughter Cows sold unevenly
steady to 1.00 higher, Slaughter
Bulls steady. At Wednesday
auction Feeder Steers steady to
2.00 higher, advance on offerings
over 700 lbs. Feeder Heifers firm to
1.00 higher. Average weight of
Slaughter Steers this week 1174 lbs.
compared to 1180 lbs. last week
and 1248 lbs. year ago. Feeder
Cattle numbered 680 head, no cme
deliveries this week, 500 cows and
