Jill is the fourth member of the Minor family to wear the coveted crown. Her mother was the 1959 Pennsylvania Dairy Princess. Beverly is also one of the state’s dairy promotion coordinators and has been an active dairy industry promoter. Jill’s sister, Marcia, was the 1982 alternate county princess, while a foster sister, Rachel Sherman, was the 1983 county princess and first runner up in the state pageant. A student at Penn State majoring in early childhood education, Jill is a member of the Penn State Dairy Science Club, Circle K Service Club and Penn State Athletics in Action. And, because of her special interest in children, Jill is a staff member at the college’s Human Development Day Care Center. A past 4-H member, Jill has completed projects in dairy, market hogs and sheep, and is an active Jersey breeder and a member of the association. Kelle will be a senior this fall at McGuffey High School and is active in chorus and cheerleading. She is an active Jersey member and is a member of the Dairy Science Club and West Alexander Ag 4-H Club. Joyce, a graduate of West Greene High School, is employed by Vandruff Tractor Sales in Waynesburg. Volleyball and badminton are among her favorite sports and she enjoys working on the family’s Holstein dairy farm. Master of ceremonies was Rep. Roger Raymond Fish. Judges were Merrie Lou McMurray, an> assistant director for Vogue Modeling in Pittsburgh; Janice Derr, a Westmoreland County dairy farm wife; and Susan Calabra, a language teacher and manager of Avanti Hair, Washington.
