Regional NEWARK, Del. - The Northeast Regional 4-H Volunteer Leader Forum will be held in Wilmington, Del., this year. The event will be held at the Sheraton-Brandywine Inn, Oct. 16 through 19. Leaders attending the con ference will participate in workshops and seminars which will teach them to “Lead the Way” in meeting today’s challenges in 4- H. The event, coordinated by 4-H agent Joy Sparks, is being planned and implemented by a group of 4-H leaders. A main objective of this year’s forum is to help leaders develop skills in management and com munications. Seminar topics in clude leadership and directional skills, community and family relations, and ways to make 4-H more visible. Speakers include Dr. Hope Daugherty and Dr. Thomas Zurcher. Daugherty is a retired U.S. Department of Agriculture worker and an enthusiastic 4-H volunteer.
