Not too long ago I bought a gift
for myself. It was a soft, cuddley
teddy bear. I made two trips to the
gift shop before I purchased it
since the first time my husband
was along and he felt it was a
foolish whim.
It is said that everyone needs at
least half a dozen hugs a day to be

One other toy that stands out in
my mind is a homemade Peter
Rabbit. My great aunts gave me
this big-eared brown bunny. His
ears just fitted under my chin and
up to my ears. He is still hiding
somewhere in a box with his
embroidered eyes almost worn off.
I should hunt him and give him a
big hug.
