Market Comment: Demand for
ready to code whole birds con
tinued to keep offerings in good
balance to well-cleared. Inquiry
for parts was centered on legs and
leg quarters, and clearances were
generally well-maintained. Wings
were in good balance. Cutlets and
occasionally breasts were more
available, and discounting had
surfaced in an effort to offset
building price resistance. LTL
asking prices were one cent higher
at 62-69 cents. Live supplies were
about adequate. Weights were
desirable to light. Slaughter
schedules were moderately heavy.
The undertone was at least fully
steady.
