formed Lancaster County Sheep
and Wool Grower’s Association has
scheduled a number of educational
programs, as well as promotional
events for both producers and
consumers. Future events include
the following:

planned for July 11 and 12 at the
Centre County Grange

READING - A wool pool
sponsored by Berks County Sheep
and Wool Growers Association is
scheduled for June 28 at the J. Paul
Leid Building behind the
Fairgrounds Square Mall north of
Reading.
Prices paid by the buyer,
Banbury Wool Company, of
Danville, Ohio, will be 69 cents a
pound for white fleece and 64 cents
for colored. A handling fee will be
deducted from these prices.

Breeders can register from 7
a.m. untU 9 a.m. on Saturday, July
12. A judging contest with divisions
for men, women and juniors will
start at 9 a.m. The bull show is set
for 10 a.m. with the junior steer
show to follow at 11 a.m.
After lunch, the Pennsylvania
Angus Auxiliary “Fun Auction”
will get underway. It will be
followed by the heifer show. The
junior showmanship contest is
scheduled to start around 3:30 p.m.
The day will conclude with the
presentation of awards from the
judging contest.
