    Five To Compete For Lancaster County Dairy Princess Title
LANCASTER Five young
ladies will compete for the title of
Lancaster County Dairy Princess
at a contest to be held Saturday,
June 21 at the Farm and Home
Center.
The evening’s activities will
begin with a reception at 7 p.m.
followed by the program at 7:30
p.m. Cake and ice cream will be
served following the selection of
the dairy princess in honor of the
50th anniversary of June Dairy
Month.
Contestants include: Jodi Lynn
Bixler, 18, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Jay Bixler, R.D. 1, Marietta.
A 1985 graduate of Donegal High
School, Jodi works for the Donegal
School District, Clover Depart
ment Store and helps on her

The National Convention of
Jersey Breeders is scheduled to
meet June 26, 27 and 28 at the
Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tenn.

biking, hiking and fishing.
Jeannie Cinder, 18, is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Cinder, R.D. 3, Elizabethtown. A
1986 graduate of Manheim Central
High School, Jeannie plans to work
on the farm after graduation. She
is active on the Future Farmers of
America and the Senior Executive
Council. She has a special interest
in the graphic arts industry and the
restaurant business. Her family
has 40 Holsteins.
Pamela Kindig, 17, is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Kindig, R.D. 1, Conestoga. A junior
at Penn Manor High School, she
plans to enroll in college and study
the physical sciences. She is a
mental Station and the

member of the National Honor
Society and the student council and
plays field hockey, basketball and
is on the swim team. She is an
assistant leader in the 4-H
photography project. She enjoys
playing the piano and
photography. Her family has 55
milking Holsteins.
Lorri Rutt, 16, is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Rutt, R.D. 2,
Quarryville. A junior at Solanco
High School, Lori plans to study
pre-law and music when she goes
to college. She is a member of the
chorus, chorale, band, National
Honor Society and her church
youth group. She is also active in 4-
H. Her hobbies include music,
swimming, skiing and reading.
Her family owns 100 Holsteins.
Mary Witmer, 20, is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Witmer,
R.D. 1, Willow Street. A 1984
graduate of Lampeter Strasburg
High School, she attends the
Central Pennsylvania Business
School and studies retail mer
chandising. She enjoys working
