Funk also finds some early strawberries on plants that were in full bloom. Funk thought his strawberries may have had a little frost damage. Certainly the garden needed to be soaked with a good rain. The catching crew from Pennfield was out working early Wednesday morning at the farm of Jerry and Jim Burkholder, RD3 Lititz. While catching chickens is a dirty job, this photo taken from the rural road past the farm shows the skid loader doing at least some of the work necessary to fill the waiting tractor trailer trucks.
