Duff George, a senior in animal
production, has a minor in ex
tension education. He began his
studies at Penn State’s Mont Alto
Campus and has received several
scholarships in animal production
through the College of Agriculture
Scholarship and Awards program.
He received the Dwight" E.
Younkin award in 1983 and the
Arthur C. Bigalow scholarship this

year. George expects to graduate
May 17.
Leadership and club activities
have been an important part of
George’s life at Penn State. He was
president of the Coaly Society and
vice-president of the Block and
Bridle Club this year. He has
served as treasurer of Ag Student
Council, is a member of the College
of Agriculture Alumni Society
career placement and internship
counseling committee and has
been a member of both the
livestock and meats judging
teams.
George also has prepared
himself for life after college. In
1984, he had an animal science
internship at the Jorgensen Angus
farm in Ideal, S.D., where he was a
ranch hand for the 450 brood
cow/calf operation. Last summer
George had an Extension in
ternship with the Lancaster
County Cooperative Extension
Service working with Chet Hughes,
county agent in 4-H and
agriculture programming.
After graduation George plans to
pursue a career in dairy and
livestock nutrition with White Oak
Mills, in Elizabethtown, Pa.

Kimberly Knebel, a senior in
dairy production, has a minor in
agricultural economics and rural
sociology. She plans to graduate in
December.
Kriebel has been an active
participant in College clubs and
extracurricular programs, in
cluding acting as sales chair for
the 1985 Nittany Lion Fall Classic
consignment sale. She was elected
Penn State Dairy Princess in 1984
and won the All-Around Grand
Champion Award at the 1984 Dairy
Expo.
A member of the 1985 Dairy
Judging Team, Kriebel also served
as secretary to the Coaly Society
this year and has been the
president for the national student
Affiliate Division of the American
Dairy Science Association. She
received a Craola Scholarship last
year and is a member of the Delta
Theta Sigma agricultural
fraternity.
Kriebel’s internship this sum
mer with the marketing depart
ment of Sire Power, Inc. in
Tunkhannock, will prepare her for
her goal after graduation, to work
in public relations within the dairy
industry.
