Members of Lancaster Society 11
met April 24 at the home of Miriam
Musselman.
The resignation of treasurer
Mary Trimble was accepted and
Helen Shaub will take over the
position.
Program for the meeting was a
report on the expansion of the
Lancaster Society 18
Lancaster Society 18 met
recently at Old Hickory Barn.
Hostess was Evelyn Hess.
The Spring Rally will be held
May 28 at the York Fairgrounds.
The speaker will be Peter Wam
back of Harrisburg.
The group is planning a trip to
Washington, D.C. to visit the Large
Cathedral and the Hill Woods.
They will also visit the Shoals Cafe.

21 at the home of Denise Young
with Joyce Sammelson as co
hostess. Lydia Potts from Image
Improvement offered a presen
tation.
The next meeting will be May 19
at the Mechanic Grove Brethren
Church, when the group will en
tertain Society 29 with a fashion
show by OTE of Lancaster.

Mountain, on May 17.

General Hospital May 13.

Lancaster Society 29 entertained
Lancaster Society 26 April 21 at St.
Mark’s United Methodist Church
with a “Dinner-go-round.”
By the time dinner was over,
each farm woman had dined with
at least 12 different guests and had
learned to know them a little bit
better.
The meal was interspersed with
inspirational poems, songs and a
short devotional called “A Garden
of the Lord,” by Come ten Boom.
The next meeting will be May 19
at 7:30 p.m. at the Mechanics
Grove Church of the Brethren for a
fashion show. The group will leave
the Union National Bank parking
lot promptly at 6:15. The group will
be entertained by Society 34.
An open invitation is extended to
join Society 29 for its regular
meetings held the third Monday of
each month. Contact Mrs. Donald
Drager for details.
Berks Society 12
Berks Society 12 met April 14 at
the home of Glenna Hix to com
plete plans for Berks Heim bingo
and volunteer banquet.
The group learned tin punch on
fluted custard tins.
Next month, the group will meet
with Mabel Strube to learn about
arthritis. Members are invited to
bring a guest.
