Off farm movement was tapering a bit, but combined with previous committments was sufficient to maintain full processing schedules. Canner movement was light and prices somewhat negotiable in an effort to stimulate sales during a period of lighter buying interest. The undertone was at least steady. Delmarva Poultry Thursday, May 1,1986 Market Comment: Demand for ready to cook whole birds remained slow, and discounting was a prime factor in effecting clearances at several plants. Demand in the parts complex continued to center on tight sup plies of legs and particularly leg quarters. Wings were in fairly good balance. The earlier calls for cutlets continued to keep this supply clearing while rib-on and line-on breasts were trading at lower trending prices. Live supplies were moderate. Weights were mixed but generally desirable.
