    LANCASTER, PA - The
problem of declining open space
and dwindling farm land is a
growing worry throughout our
nation. This concern will be ad
dressed from all angles, Saturday,
May 24, 1966 in a day-long con
ference on Rural Preservation in
Pennsylvania, to be held on the
campus of Franklin & Marshall
College, Lancaster, Pa.
Sponsored by The French and
Pickering Creeks Conservation (
Trust, Inc., Chester County, and
the Agricultural Law Committee of
The Pennsylvania Bar
Association, in association with
The Pennsylvania Historical and
Museum Commission, The
Agriculture Committees of the
Pennsylvania House and Senate,
and the Pennsylvania Department
of Agriculture, the Conference will
run 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thirty guest
speakers will make up the forum.
Among the featured participants
will be luncheon speaker, Charles
Barry Wookey, a British farmer
who has turned his 1,600 acre farm
near Marlborough, in Wiltshire,
into a profitable venture by using
organic methods. Wookey is also
an accomplished lecturer.

Patrick, noted Limnologist and
Curator of Patrick Center of the
Academy of Natural Sciences of
Philadelphia and Richard Grubb,
Pennsylvania’s Secretary of
Agriculture.
The Seminar will be broken into
10 sessions, all held in F&M’s Stahr
Hall. The Conference is open to the
public. Registration fee is $55.00,
which includes the luncheon
program.
