    Somerset Holstein Club meets
BERLIN The Somerset
County Holstein Club recently held
their annual meeting at the Berlin
Community Building.
Lewis Berkley, state director,
reported that Somerset County has
reached 84 percent of its mem
bership goal. Presently-, mem
bership stands at 260 members in
the county.
It was also announced that
Somerset County was recognized
for outstanding promotion of dairy
products at the State Convention.
They are only one of three counties
to be honored for their efforts with
a $2OO check.
Junior Holstein Club Awards
presented for county and state
milk and fat contest are as follows:
Michael Carr, Somerset, first
place milk and fat for a four year
old in the county, second place
milk for a four and five year old in
the county; Paul Carr, Somerset,
County and state winners of the junior milk and fat contest
were, left, Daniel Kimmel, Rustin Glessner, Ryan Weimer,
Paul Carr, Jennifer Barnett.

Farm Bill meeting set at Penn State
STATE COLLEGE - Penn
sylvania Secretary of Agriculture
Richard Grubb, agricultural
leaders and Penn State faculty will
present a panel discussion on the
1985 Farm Bill in room 112 Kern at
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 1. The
coffeehouse is sponsored by Ag
Student Council and the public is
invited to attend.
Other guest speakers include
Charles Wismer, State Grange
Master, Gene Thompson, Penn
sylvania Executive Director of the
USDA Agricultural Stabilization
and Conservation Service, Jill
Findeis, assistant professor of
agricultural economics, and
Milton Hallberg, professor of
agricultural economics, who will
moderate the discussion.
