Winners in the newsletter category were Rick Kauffman,

Two Lancaster countians were honored for their work in
the 4-H program. 4-H Agent Zoann Parker, left, received the
New Member Award, which honors an agent who has been a
member for one or two years and who has done an out
standing job. Hazel Nestleroth, right, was honored with the
Clover Award, which recognizes someone outside the
association who has made a contribution to 4-H.
U.S. Bakker, right, and Wendy Hamilton, center, from the
state office won a communications award for a slide set, and
Beth Philabaum, left, for a TV show.

Pennsylvania 4-H Extension agents honor
outstanding communicators
The Pennsylvania Association of 4-H Extension Agents recognized their outstanding
communicators at a banquet Monday evening in Hershey. Award winners, from left,
were; Carolyn Belczyk of Erie County, promotion/public relations; Zoann Parker, Lan
caster County, direct mail; Joette Wisnieski, state office, promotion/public relations;
Beth Philabaum, Northampton County, direct mail; and Kathy Listwak, Lehigh County,
direct mail. Lancaster Farming sponsored the awards.

Clubs 19lh annual Carroll County
Calf Sale will have special
significance for two of Carroll
County’s outstanding 4-H Youth.
Nancy Powel 16, from Taneytown,
and Kris Eckard 18, from West
minster are members of the
Maryland 4-H Dairy Judging Team
who will be representing the
United States in the International
Judging Contest in Edinborough,
made his business successful since
he took over in 1976.
Among those honored with gifts
was Bill Beam, one of the three
men who incorporated Vintage in
1953.
Frame also honored the top 11
shippers with gifts. They are:
