This herd is too good a line of cattle to be sold in the Buy-Out. These
aniQials were purchased from the State Convention Sales, Mitcheltree
Herd Dispersal, Lilly Ann Nichol Sale, Ag Progress Sales, Blair County
Sale, Huntingdon County Sale, Ben Stoltzfus Sale, Central Pennsylvania
Spring Classic Sale, Mem-Buck Sale, and the Smith-Mead Holstein Sale
and Kinglea Holstein Sale in Maryland. Records of 20,000-30,000 on many of
these cattle. They range from 3.5 to 4.5 fat test. The mothers of five of these
young milking cows from Maryland sold for $20,000-$35,000 in the sales
where the heifers were purchased. These fresh, young cows and heifers
have never been scored.
