Berks Society 1 met recently for
a luncheon meeting at the Oley
Legion Diner. Vice president
Agnes Noll, Rl Oley, conducted the
business meeting.
A report was given on the recent
Farm Women State Convention.
The group voted to give a
donation to the American Red
Cross.
The next meeting will be March
12 at the Old State Barn, Oley, with
Mike O’Pake as guest speaker.
Husbands are invited.
Pauline Hefelfinger read the
Farm Women by-laws.

Berks Society 5 held their
“Sweetheart Night’’ at the Bahney
House in Myerstown on Feb. 15.
Twelve members and their
husbands dodged drifting snow to
attend the annual men’s night.
The men received favors con
taining a candy kiss and the group
enjoyed a seafood buffet. Mary
Keeler read a poem about
Valentine’s Day in Pennsylvania
Dutch.
Program for the evening was a
slide presentation on a back
packing trip around the world by

Members are reminded of the
